Center for Advanced Medical Esthetic Training

Dear Esthetician or Medical Practitioner:

In recent years clinical skin care has become the standard in esthetics. Clients are now aware of, and seek out, skin care techniques that go beyond traditional salon services. To stay current, licensed skin care professionals need the information that allows them to recognize common skin conditions and choose the appropriate treatments, and to be skilled in skin restoration and rejuvenation services and techniques. Estheticians who need to be knowledgeable about these topics do not receive this information in their basic esthetic education. Medical practitioners interested in expanding their practices to include medical skin services need information about how to integrate these services into their existing medical offices. Physicians find that this information is not readily available.

Since 1993, the Mequon Thiensville School of Esthetics has provided the education necessary to become licensed in esthetics. Through our Center for Advanced Medical Esthetic Training we are now pleased to also offer advanced medical esthetic training for licensed estheticians, cosmetologists, nurses and physicians who would like to know more about advanced medical skin health and how advanced medical skin care can be incorporated into an existing practice. Advanced and medical skin care training is a rarity in Wisconsin, so in the past receiving such training typically called for an out-of-state trip. Now the Center for Advanced Medical Esthetic Training provides you with the convenience of an in-state resource to expand your skin care knowledge.

Potential skin care clients are becoming more knowledgeable about the various skin care options that are available to them. Estheticians wishing to advance their careers - or just desiring to stay current in this increasingly technical field - should enhance their esthetic knowledge by learning about topics such as skin restoration, scar revision, chemical peels, the latest technological treatments, product information, and dermatological terminology. Medical practitioners interested in expanding their services to include medical skin care need to be aware of staff and physician interactions, client relationships and approaches to effectively growing their business. The Center for Advanced Medical Esthetic Training fulfills all these needs. The Center's course is highly personalized, providing both theory and hands-on training to provide the conventional esthetician with advanced medical skin care skills and techniques, and to give the practitioner the information to smooth the transition from a medical-only office to one that provides both medical and medical skin care services.

At the Center for Advanced Medical Esthetic Training we understand that skin care professionals must understand a broad range of topics from skin restoration techniques and product knowledge to client relationships and approaches to growing business. Whether you are an esthetician, cosmetologist, or registered nurse looking to stay current or further your career, or a physician interested in expanding a current practice or opening a new one, our program helps you achieve your goal.

The Center for Advanced Medical Esthetic Training will be of great benefit to your career. Please feel free to contact me to sign up for this important training, or to answer any of your questions.
